Mind & Motion: Mat Pilates + Strength & Conditioning

Classes and Packages

Mind & Motion fuses Stott Pilates with real strength training and cardio conditioning — learn to breathe, stabilize, and build muscle.

Class moves as one continuous meditation, with strength and Pilates woven through every section — each building on and supporting the last.

❋ Intentional Structure

Every class is grounded in real expertise: the science of progressive overload paired with the alignment and control of contemporary Pilates — made fun through group energy and a killer playlist.

❋ Expert Facilitation

The work moves through your body, but it's designed to build something that carries into everything else you're holding.

❋ Built for Mind and Body

This is a room where effort and ease are both welcome, and where showing up as you are is the whole point.

❋ A Supportive Space

Meet Your Instructor

Ashley is the founder of Mind & Motion, a strength-and-Pilates fusion method built on one belief: real strength isn't pushing through — it's learning to move, recover, and stay connected to yourself and others, even when it's hard.

Trained in Stott Pilates and certified in functional strength training, Ashley has taught at some of the country's most recognized studios, including SoulCycle, Barry's, and Orangetheory, as well as beloved Boston-area studios like Down Under Yoga, Soma Yoga, and C2 Body. That range shaped how she teaches now: Mind & Motion blends the science of progressive overload with the alignment and control of contemporary Pilates, so class moves as one continuous meditation rather than a set of reps to get through.

The method is inspired by her father, Tony Thornton, a professional boxer and all- around badass athlete. His sudden passing became the catalyst for Ashley to pursue wellness as both a career and a practice.
