Meet Ashley Mitchell

Ashley Mitchell (she/her) is a multi-passionate creator, athlete, and toddler mom.

Ashley is most interested in helping clients find a sense of wellness and wholeness of being through courage, resilience, adaptability, and compassion. She coaches teams, individuals, and community members on overcoming obstacles, setting realistic and impactful goals, and being of service to the greater good.

A New Jersey native, Ashley spent her early years as a competitive athlete and “theatre kid”; two areas of study that require intense focus and commitment, a healthy relationship with failure, and big doses of courage.

It was through athletics and the arts that Ashley learned the value of collaboration, active listening, discipline, and joy. She has since carried those skills forward as a seasoned fitness instructor, presenter, writer, founder, wife, and mother.

At the core of Ashley’s work is the idea of disrupting the status quo and fighting for a world where everyone belongs. Leading always with curiosity and empathy, she relentlessly searches for “a better way”, refusing to accept that the way things are should prevail. Whether she is teaching movement or presenting in the DEI space, Ashley puts belonging at the heart of her sessions, creating spaces where everyone can feel seen, heard, and brave.

In 2018, along with her husband Mark, Ashley founded The Courage Campaign, a Boston-based non-profit founded to help accelerate the closure of the opportunity gap in the k-12 education space. The Courage Campaign uses movement, breathwork, journaling, and social-emotional learning techniques to help students unlock courage and self-regulation, leading to greater focus and success within the container of the classroom.

Ashley studied theatre at both Rutgers University and Brown University (undergraduate and graduate, respectively), holds numerous fitness certifications, and a certificate of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University.
